'Medical Slang' Wikipedia entry has made me LOL
My two favorites:
Hasselhoff - a term for any patient who shows up in the emergency room with an injury for which there is a bizarre explanation. Original Source: Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff, who hit his head on a chandelier while shaving. The broken glass severed four tendons and an artery in his right arm.
FBUNDY - Fucked, But Unfortunately Not Dead Yet.

How Nonsense Sharpens the Intellect
Have you ever seen something out of place, strangely beautiful, or grotesque… and then slowly noticed that other things in the world have changed, that they have begun to make more sense? Have you ever seen a movie that was particularly well-directed, loaded with cinematography of impossible things, that was just so powerful that you later found your thinking processes changed, the real world now colored something like the film? Have you ever read any fiction or science-fiction (or especially unbelievable non-fiction) that made you look deeper into the shadows to possibly find that alien-robot-cowboy-locust-thing that now seemingly might very well be there?
I have had those experiences. The NYTimes had an interesting article today on the science behind something like what I am describing. “How Nonsense Sharpens the Intellect: When things don’t add up, the mind goes into high gear.”

The psychology of the weird. I’m thinking maybe weird could be good for you.

back in time
I still want nothing
everything for free
I’ll just give you the benefit, taking steps on
the pavement of your neighborhood
squaring it running it
mind blocked pushing and finding it
and now it doesn’t matter what we do
UZI suicide, misery as a gentle man
one love to betray
one love to break loose
standing near the door in detention
for allowing it to break
blackbird singing in the dead of night
words stain
that’s the way she sees it
black straps and lace
see how I never let you go
see how I run
the mouth smoke on the open air
how it ends, with invisible things
open bolt blowback-operated submachine guns
why does it feel like we’re back in time when you speak
with your open hand facing down
fingers spread, how bad I want to hurt you now
I still want nothing
everything for free
I’ll just leave this here, taking steps on
setting you free
blackbird singing in the dead of night
tears stain
that’s the way she sees it
black straps and lace

the biggest loser is you
chain-link half truths I thought we talked about
how to make this happen and the wonderful life under the dirt
voices of soft singing already unhinged, scanning
he’s lost his mind, he’s lost his heart
send for the preacher, send for the doctor
send for the film crew this is bound to be good

equal and opposite reactions
the year I became a man, the great lakes in the sky, at a great distance, hearts at play
the writ of the universe, unpossesed, your ambient mind, on funerals, on dust
